“I want to set the record straight and make sure the people of this community know enough of the facts about their candidates in order to make a quality decision. One of the confusing things about Raleigh is that much is intentionally obscured from the public view. This is done by naming bills in a way that doesn’t actually describe the actions of the bill, adding things to the huge appropriation bills in order to hide them and using positive sounding bill names for devious purposes.” -Dan Soucek

N1. Cullie Tarleton sponsored a bill to put a multi-million dollar tax on health insurance for teachers and state employees. (2007-H265)

N2. Cullie Tarleton sponsored a bill to increase sales tax rates for school construction without voter approval.(2007-H455)

Because it encourages married couples to cheat on each other - including those with children - Christian groups protested the show, saying that it was using sleaze for profit.
