NC HOUSE CANDIDATE SOUCEK THANKS AREA EMERGENCY WORKERS AT FESTIVAL

BOONE, N.C. – Dan Soucek, candidate for North Carolina House, District 93, attended Emergency Fest on June 14 and thanked area rescue teams and emergency workers for their service to local residents.  Families from around the High Country gathered on the campus of ASU to learn about emergency safety while listening to music and participating in various activities. 

Soucek said that fire, rescue and police departments are some of the most important aspects of government because they keep local families safe.

“These brave men and women risk their lives to protect us and our freedom,” he said.  “A free society cannot exist and flourish without being safe.  I am very proud of these men and women, and they deserve our support, respect and thanks.”

Soucek, an Army veteran and former helicopter pilot, also expressed his appreciation to the local Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol unit that participated in Emergency Fest.

Attending the event with Soucek was his wife Kim and two daughters, Janie Ann and Lucy.
